About
The Fresno County Early Stars Mission
"Increase the quality and accessibility of early care and education in Fresno County. We accomplish our mission by connecting families in Fresno County with high quality licensed care and education providers, while supporting those providers in their efforts for continuous quality improvement of their services."
The Fresno County Early Stars Vision
"Early Stars raises the quality and accessibility of early care and education in Fresno and the Central Valley, leading to empowered families and increased high school graduation rates throughout the region."
In everything we do, we strive to create a lifelong path of learning and success for our children and improve the future for all families in our county.
Early Stars was made possible thanks to Fresno County being selected as part of California’s Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Federal grant in 2012. As part of this grant, Fresno County received two million dollars to implement a quality rating and improvement system for early care and education programs serving children from birth through age five.
